Reuters India, citing National Indian Coach Pullela Gopichand, reported that the India Badminton Open to be held in Hyderbayad from September 4th to 9th has been postponed due to security reasons after the bombs which killed 40 people near the stadium. The Malaysian team had announced their concern and after discussions with BWF, the event was postponed to a later date – probably in January 2008.
