Apparently, the H7N9 bird flu strain may affect the badminton world. The virus, which has killed seven people and made 24 ill in eastern China is worrying badminton officials. A report from AFP quotes PBSI pokesman Ricky Subagja, who is fearing the flu might have a huge impact for his country as more than 40% of shuttles used in the country come from China. Indonesia has banned poultry and feathers coming from mainland China. “I hope the ban won’t last long as I’m afraid that it will have an impact,” on the supply of shuttlecocks,  Subagja said.
