While Europe is starting its men’s and women’s team championships in Basel, Oceania closed its mixed team competition.  Australia came out as winner with the slightest margin.  They had to wait until the very last point of the last possible game of the last possible match to come out on top of New Zealand. The Kiwis won the men’s and women’s singles with Michelle Chan and Joe Wu, but the Aussies got the edge in all three doubles events. Glenn Warfe and Raymond Tam won 20-22, 21-18, 21-19 against Kevin Dennerly-Minturn and Oliver Laydon-Davis for a final 3-2 win.
