A month after Karyn Velez, badminton mourns another of its children. Bruno Monteverde – one of Peru’s top badminton players and a friend of Karyn Velez – died yesterday in his hometown of Lima. The first sources had hinted that a car had happened after he had had rocks thrown at his car from a bridge while driving on the highway, but new elements are contradicting this first version given to Badzine by some of his friends.

The Badzine fraternity and the overall badminton world is in shock again after this sudden death. We would like to send our condolences to his sister, Alejandra, his family and friends. Some have already started posting tributes on his facebook page here.
