The draw of the upcoming English National Championships held for the first time in Milton Keynes – home of the National Training Centre – certainly raised eyebrows. Former Olympian Gail Emms is back to play in the national event, partnering her friend Ella Trip – herself a former national team player. The event, featuring top stars Chris and Gabby Adcock amongst other top shuttlers will be held on Feb 8th and 9th.
“The very best players in the country will be on show along with many of our up and coming young talent. And with Gail making a Nationals comeback, there promises to be lots of intriguing matches and thrilling badminton in store for everyone to enjoy,” said Adrian Christy, Badminton England’s Chief Executive on BE’s official website.
