According to recent reports in the Malaysian press, the wedding of star shuttler and sports icon Lee Chong Wei, 29, and former top women’s singles player Wong Mew Choo is set to take place much sooner than originally planned, most likely November. A recent report in Malaysian daily the Star said that Chinese custom requires the couple to marry within 100 days of the recent passing of Wong’s grandmother, lest they have to wait an additional three years. MSN Malaysia says that the ceremony will be a beachside one, at the Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa in Sepang Gold Coast.
