The Badminton Lithuanian International 2011 held in Kaunas this weekend could see a clean sweep from the Magee family, as the Irish siblings have both entered the final of the event, in three categories. Chloe Magee, seeded second in the women’s singles event will be facing Iceland’s Ragna Ingolfsdottir. Magee beat Germany’s Schnasse, while the surprise came with the defeat of top seed Jeanine Cicognini of Switzerland to the tall blond.

In the mixed doubles, Chloe will partner her younger brother Sam to face Poland’s Szkudlarczyk and Wojtkowska, while Sam – former European men’s doubles champion – will partner Tony Stephenson to face once again Poland’s Szkudlarczyk, this time partnering Moren.

Scott Evans could make it 4 for Ireland when he faces the top seed of the event Kestutis Navickas – the only local hope remaining in the draw. The women’s doubles will be heading to Ukraine as both pairs are from this country – Mariya Ulitina and Natalya Voytsekh and Elena Prus, Ganna Kobtseva.

The finals will be broadcasted live with live interviews after the matches on Badmintoneurope.tv
