Chloe Magee was the happiest girl in the whole of Lithuania when she scooped two Gold medals on Sunday in the 2011 Badminton Lithuania International in Kaunas. The young Irish succeeded in two different events – singles and mixed – a success that not many badminton players achieve as they both require different quality – only Mia Audina, Petya Nedelcheva and few others are able to shine in both singles and doubles or mixed.

Magee beat Ragna Ingolfsdottir in the final of the women’s singles and together with her brother Sam, beat Poland’s Szkudlarczyk and Wojtkowska in a nail bitter for the first final of the day, in the mixed.

Scott Evans was not able to imitate his compatriot as logic prevailed in the men’s singles and Kestutis Navickas was the happy winner of his home event.
