The doubles finals of the 2015 Chile included one repeat of a Pan Am Games final and one repeat of the 2014 Pan Am Championships.  In the latter, Canada’s Derrick Ng and Adrian Liu beat the men who won the Pan Am Games gold in their absence in Toronto this past summer.  The Canadians were disqualified from competing in the continental games at home and were unable to extend their streak of 3 consecutive continental championships into a gold that would have contributed to their Olympic bid.

Men’s doubles runner-up Phillip Chew did prevail in the mixed final and his compatriots won their repeat of the Pan Am Games gold medal final in women’s doubles.  Men’s singles belonged to Spain, and Pablo Abian in particular.  Turkey’s Ozge Bayrak finally took her first singles title of the year after being denied in two previous finals.
