A few weeks after Spain had made the final of the European Junior championships a family affair, it is now two titles which might fall into the Spanish Basket in Madrid, for the Spanish International held this week.

Carolina Marin, the young and promising youngster beat Malaysia’s adopted French Sashina Vignes in the semi final of the women’s singles, while Pablo Abian defeated back to back top seed Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia and Kevin Cordon of Guatemala to set up a clash against Viktor Axelsen of Denmark in Sunday’s final.
