The Badminton World Federation () Council has voted to add regulation 19.2 to its competition regulations, requiring all female players to wear skirts or dresses in any competition at Grand Prix level or above.  The rationale included in the regulation text is that this, along with ‘acceptable Badminton sports clothing’ for both sexes, will ‘ensure attractive presentation of Badminton at tournaments’.
