Badzine has unveiled its new Dummy lists, our second set with a new way of calculating who whould go to London if the qualifying period ended now. Thanks to our range of experts, including a BWF-certificated umpire, we have published a list of players and their according to the tournaments WITHIN the Olympic qualifying period. This means that our list and our will differ from the ones pubished by BWF.

These lists reflect the standings as of January 19th, 2012.

In this week’s list, Jan O Jorgensen enters the top 16 and hence would potentially qualify. Also, Sri Lanka Niluka Karunaratne also makes the cut while Chen Jin, at number 5, is still not eligible.

We’ve taken in account, also, the extra spots given by players who qualify in two different events and hence free up some space (same gender) in the singles ranking. This week provides 3 extra spots in men’s singles and 7 extra spots in women’s singles.

The dummy lists:

Men’s Singles
Women’s Singles
Men’s Doubles
Women’s Doubles
Mixed Doubles

Remember, however, this list is unofficial.  Only the  BWF World Ranking on April 30th 2012 will determine who will qualify for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
