Indonesia, Korea and India all scooped their tickets to the semi-final stage of the Asian Thomas Cup qualifiers, held in Thailand. The hosts were defeated 0-3 by Indonesia, and Vietnam (playing without top player Nguyen Tien Minh) met a similar roadblock as India took that quarter-final 3-0.  Meanwhile, Korea stunned Hong Kong 3-1.  The last match for the final spot in the semi was played  between Japan and Chinese Taipei and the former won 3-1. Indonesia is expected to play Japan and India take on Korea on Friday.
