Pi Hongyan has not always been a badminton champion. When she was 9 years old, she tried roller-blading and thought about going full speed for an inline skating career. Here are some exclusive images of Pi in a competition in her hometown of Chongqing.

Of, course, this was an April fool. Pi Hongyan herself thought the joke was funny : “I wish I could do what she does” she laughed.
