Indonesian star Taufik Hidayat told Badzine that he will be withdrawing from the Yonex-OCBC Gold because his visa has not yet been approved.  Event organizers and co-sponsors Orange County Badminton Club, who had announced the visa problem on their Facebook page on Wednesday, later added another message on Friday morning saying that a last-minute arrangement for a visa had been made.  However, no confirmation of the last-minute visa rumour was forthcoming from Taufik’s entourage and after his quarter-final win in Richmond on Friday afternoon, his coach Hariawan again confirmed that the defending champion would not be playing in California next week.
