HEAD Introduces YOUTEK Technology in New Badminton Racquet Series

Power HelixTM Infuses Spiral Technology for Increased Flexibility and Control

Kennelbach, Austria – August 2010 – HEAD has announced a new racquet series to join the diverse badminton product offerings.

The fastest sport just got faster with the addition of YOUTEKTM in the new Power HelixTM badminton racquet series. The racquet series introduces the Power HelixTM shaft technology and Teflon® grommets with the proven MetallixTM material and Energy Body frame design.

Power HelixTM is a unique spiral structure along the shaft of the racquet that allows up to 56 percent more flexibility than conventional carbon components, enabling players’ to generate an enormous power release for fast shots with maximum control. The Teflon® grommets reduce friction between strings and the grommets to keep tension consistent across the string bed.

“We have taken the knowledge and insights we’ve gathered since entering the market in 2006 to create a complete product mix for badminton players, from racquets to apparel,” said Robert Marte, Division Manager or HEAD Racquetsports. “The new Power Helix series incorporates new technology that will take badminton players’ game to the next level.”

The YOUTEK Power Helix line offers four models, including:

  • YOUTEKTM Power HelixTM 10000
  • YOUTEKTM Power HelixTM 8000
  • YOUTEKTM Power HelixTM 7000
  • YOUTEKTM Power HelixTM 5000

The Power HelixTM racquet series will join the established MetallixTM, Lite, Nano PCT and Titanium racquet lines already available. Players can also find full product line of shuttlecocks, apparel and footwear to enhance their game.
