Peter Gade had to withdraw from the 2010 after he injured his back just before the event.

“I was hoping to bring better news but I had no choice but to withdraw from the Denmark Open this afternoon. My back-injury is getting better but there’s still a long way to go before I’m able to be on court and it would be to much of a risk to play. Of course I wish things were different and I don’t feel good about not taking part in the Denmark Open.

“This was a very good chance for me to win this tournament – however I have to take care of myself and do the right thing – and this is the right thing to do.  Now, I’ll do whatever I can to be ready for next week at the French Open.  Maybe there’s a chance than I can be ready and I’ll go for that,” he just announced on his Facebook page.
