Agnese Allegrini scooped one of the best titles in her career when she grabbed Gold at the recently held 2010 Bill Graham Miami International – a future series. The unseeded Italian was almost sent packing in the first round when she defeated Denmark’s Anne Marie Pedersen 22-20 in the decider of her first round, but then it was all joy for the smily Italian shuttler. She beat top seed Nicole Grether in the final 21-16, 21-17. Grether bounced back in the women’s double with Charmaine Reid to win that event while Guatemala’s Kevin Cordon won the men’s singles event.

Local shuttlers scooped the men’s doubles and the mixed.
