The top seeds in mixed doubles, Thomas Laybourn / Kamilla Rytter Juhl of Denmark, withdrew today from the Victor BWF Super Series Finals in Taipei.  Laybourn, suffering from a knee injury, found he was unable to continue with the tournament after he and Rytter Juhl had already scored one victory, over England’s Nathan Robertson / Jenny Wallwork on Wednesday.

The results affecting the Danish pair will now be deleted and Robertson/Wallwork, Zhang/Zhao, Voravichitchaikul/Anugritayawon will be competing as if in a group of 3, with the Chinese players now finished with their round robin duties.

Though Laybourn’s injury was announced first, it affected the last scheduled match of the day but was followed by the retirement of Indonesia’s Hendra Setiawan from his men’s doubles match with Markis Kido against Korea’s Jung/Lee.
