The Los Angeles Badminton Club collected around US$4,000  for the victims of the tsunami in Japan by throwing a one-day tournament on March 26th. Players from the area were asked to join a friendly competition with all benefits going for the Japanese cause.

“Come and smash some birdies, stuff yourself with foods and BBQ.
…Show your spirits, your compassion, your sympathy, your loves and caring for the “needies” at Japan” was the motto on the official Facebook page of the event.

Alice Liew, Andie Tran and their friends did more than enjoy a good day – the money they collected will be sent to the American Red Cross for Japan.
