The bids for the upcoming World Championships are already starting, and after Denmark and Guangzhou have shown interested in welcoming the event in either 2013 or 21014, it is now India’s city of Mumbai which may bid for the same event.
“We are planning to host the World Badminton Championship, and an ideal scenario for us would be to host it either in 2013-end or May 2014,” said Gandhe, the Maharashtra Badminton Association chief and the former doubles expert, talking to Press Agency PTI
The bid would first have to be backed up by Badminton Association of India before being presented to BWF.
