The Zimbabwe International Open 2011 was held from September 1st to 3th in Harare. The men’s singles final was an all Iranian affair with top seed Kaveh Mehrabi bowing to his compatriot Ali Shahosseini in three games while Claudia Mayer and Victoria Na scooped the two spots for the final of the women’s single, with Claudia Mayer making it to the top. The Australian did go back with a gold in the mixed with an easy win in the final of the event, while both doubles competitions had only local players enrolled in the draw.
