Fans of Jan O Jorgensen can be reassured – the Dane was released from the Hospital after he suffered from an inflammation of the heart valves. This had been happening to him this summer and he felt it stronger lately with a lof of discomfort. He is due to take the final stress tests on Monday in Copenhagen. “Then I will know whether I can make it to Paris or not, for the French Internationals. But this was quite scary. This is the kind of things that makes you stop and think...” said Jorgensen, who had to walkover in his quarter final against Chen Long on Friday.

Monday will also be the day where Pi Hongyan will know whether she will compete in her home event after she suffered from pain in her calf. She is to run some tests in the French National Institute for Sport INSEP where she trains. French fans are waiting for the good news to book their tickets for the first rounds.
