The new Thailand badminton jewel has just been awarded the title of Thailand Female Athlete of the Year 2011 for becoming the only player to have won a world youth title for three years in a row. Ratchanok, who is currently ranked 14th in the world, was selected ahead of Natthanan Jankrajang (swimming) and Siriporn Kaewduang-ngarm (windsurfing). The men’s award was won by a taekwondo exponent Chutchawal Khawlaor. The award ceremony will be held next Monday at Indoor Stadium, Hua Mark, Bangkok.
