Once again Henri Hurskainen from Sweden demolished Danish hopes, three weeks after beating Peter Gade in the European Championships, the Swede beat Rune Ulsing to win the Forza Denmark Internationals on Sunday. The European silver meddalist is obviously in great form and added some good victories this week – amongst which against Joachim Persson – before beating Ulsing 21-14, 21-11. But apart from that, the Danes took all other titles, as favourites cruised to easy victories in women’s doubles and mixed. The surprise of the week was the finalists of the women’s singles – neither Sandra Marie Jensen nor Anna Thea Madsen were expected to reach this far, but the former won a well deserved title over her young compatriot.
