According to Badzine.de, our local channel in Germany as well as local news agencies, Germany will be playing without three of their top stars in the upcoming Uber Cup. Juliane Schenk will stay home to prepare for London Olympics while her compatriots Olga Konon and Birgit Michels are injured and will not travel to Wuhan for the biennial competition. This means that the European Champions – Germany beat Denmark this spring for the first time in the history of the event (called Uber Cup Continental stage in the past) – will have very little chance to have an impact on the competition and that European’s best chances will now rely on Denmark and the Netherlands.

Germany will be going with the following players:

Karin Schnaase, Carola Bott, Fabienne Deprez, Sandra Marinello, Carla Nelte, Johanna Goliszewski, Isabel Herttrich
