A motion of no confidence to remove Confederation (BAC) President Mr Katsuto Momii was unanimously carried at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Confederation convened in Bangkok today. A press release coming from the BAC announced that the Japanese president would be replaced by Malaysia’s Dato Sri Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh.

The members were unanimous in their agreement that Mr Momii failed in his duties as a leader of the Confederation.. Mr Momii’s dismissal from the presidency and all elected and appointed positions in the BAC will take effect immediately,” stated the release.

This dismissal comes a few weeks before the elections for the Presidency, where Dato Sri Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh is an official candidate.  His new position may strengthen his candidacy compared to his Asian rival Justian Suhandinata.  Both will be running against Europe’s Poul Erik Hoyer.
