After having a few weeks off training because of an injury, Denmark’s Hans Kristian Vittinghus made a very strong come back by winning the Spanish Open this weekend in Madrid. The Dane was seeded number 1 but was unsure whether he could honor his status. He certainly did by beating one of his best friends in the final – Joachim Persson, 21-9, 21-16

Adam Cwalina and Przemyslav Wacha may have tried out to play together just as a temporary pair waiting for Logosz to come back from his bad injury, it seems like nothing can stop them. They beat the very same Logosz (together with Lukasz Moren) in the final of the men’s doubles in an all Polish affair. Spain got their own 100% home affair as well, but the outcome was not what was expected when Beatriz Corrales beat her compatriot Carolina Marin 21-19, 21-18
