The Badminton World Federation (BWF) finally listed Kuala Lumpur as the host for the 2013 BWF Finals.  The Malaysian capital had been named in the local press as early as April but with some outstanding issues relating the precise venue, among other issues, the BWF did not name KL as the host until late last week.  To date, no stadium has been named and the BWF has yet to issue a press release.

Also this week, Malaysian daily The Star reported that the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) had received a request to change the dates of the finals because of a scheduling clash with the badminton event of the biennial SEA Games, to be held this December in Myanmar.
