China scooped both the men’s and the women’s team gold in Tianjin yesterday at the 6th . The home favourites had little trouble beating their opponents in the women’s final, beating Chinese Taipei in three straight matches.  China’s Wang Shixian lost her first game to Yui Hashimoto in the semi-final but China did not drop a single game after that.

The men’s team, led by Chen Long and Du Pengyu won the men’s event, which was a round robin, by winning all four of its ties, dropping only one men’s doubles match, when Chinese Taipei’s Chen Hung Ling / Lu Chia Pin beat scratch pairing Chai Biao / Xu Chen.

Women’s team final result: China 3, Chinese Taipei 0
WS1: Wang Shixian (CHN) beat Tai Tzu Ying (TPE)  21-16, 21-13
WD1: Ou Dongni / Tang Yuanting (CHN) beat Chiang Kai Hsin / Tsai Pei Ling (TPE) 21-7, 21-11
WS2: Han Li (CHN) beat Chen Hsiao Huan (TPE)  21-13, 21-7
