Former world #1 Tan Boon Heong will be back in March, one of several top players who will be seen with new partners.  At the Malaysia Grand Prix Gold in Johor Bahru, Tan will begin a new partnership with Ow Yao Han.  The two-time World Junior Champion will have the task of filling the shoes of Koo Kien Keat, who recently resigned from the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM).

A week later, at the India Open Superseries, Tan and Ow will be joined by Korea’s newest men’s doubles as Kim Sa Rang and Yoo Yeon Seong have been put together, as expected, in the aftermath of the suspension of their respective partners.  The other major shuffle at the top is in the women’s doubles, where Wang Xiaoli will be back with long-time former partner Ma Jin and Yu Yang will play instead with Tang Yuanting.
