Currently on a laborious road towards every players’ target, the Olympic Games, Korea’s Kim Ki Jung and Kim Sa Rang proved once more they were very keen to trouble their 2014 World Champion team-mates Ko Sung Hyun and Shin Baek Cheol to get a second Korean ticket to Rio.

Despite two former losses against their opponents of the day, Goh V. Shem and Tan Wee Kiong, one place behind in the world ranking, the two Koreans showed great will and discipline to beat the Malaysian pair.

“We entered this game thinking, no matter what, we must win this match and we prepared for it pretty well and thankfully we came out winners,” commented Kim Ki Jung, looking obviously tired from all the tournaments he had played in nationally and internationally.

Kim Sa Rang, on the other hand, is still being bothered by a shoulder injury: “It’s still being treated so I have nothing much to do but to bear with it and do my best in every match,” admitted the twenty-six year-old from Incheon.

On an another bright note, Kim Ki Jung, who married last June his girlfriend of six years, herself a professional badminton player of the Korean league, is expecting a daughter by the end of the year, obviously bringing a giant smile to the face of the twenty-five year-old doubles player.

The two Koreans are now heading straight towards their staff to prepare their next encounter, as they will take on World #3 Zhang Nan and Fu Haifeng in order to appear in the last quartet of the Yonex French Open .
