The Danish badminton league is going though some serious turbulence after the national body cancelled the final of the Danish League (Badmintonligaen) between Skovshoved and Team Skælskør-Slagelse (TSS) due to be played on Thursday. Behind the cancellation lies an official complaint from TSS when they saw that Christinna Pedersen was fielded to play after having played – according to the rule – too many matches in a foreign league. According to a report from the Danish Agency Ritzau, Skovshoved  officials state that they had the authorisation from Badminton Denmark for Christinna Pedersen to play in Malaysia and India. The dispute apparently didn’t find any positive outcome yet and the federation simply cancelled the final. Talks are still ongoing to try to resolve the matter before tomorrow.
