Men’s doubles world #1 Yoo Yeon Seong says he and his wife are even contemplating naming their first child “Rio”, if he and Lee Yong Dae can win gold after what he has said will be the last of his career.  The 29-year-old Korean made this statement to news agency Newsis this week during an interview (article in Korean) at the national training centre in Seoul.

Yoo says that the couple had already nicknamed their unborn child mu (radish) after the radish plant in their home produced a flower on the day his wife confirmed she was pregnant.  They are expecting their first child in October but Yoo says they haven’t decided what they will call him if he and Lee are not able to bring home the gold from Rio.
