Former world #2 Kim Sa Rang revealed in an interview yesterday that he and former national team-mate Eom Hye Won will be exchanging vows in December.

Kim was giving an interview to the Youtube channel L’s Badminton TV and slipped in that bit of news between statements on the future of Korean badminton and on his own career plans.  The two are to be married on December 28th.  Until then, more badminton competition is in the cards for these two independent players.  Eom is currently in Akita for the Japan Masters Super 100, while Kim is planning a debut with a new partner, Kim Duk Young, to begin at the Australian International Challenge.

Their nuptials will come just a year after Korea’s last badminton couple, Kim Ha Na and Rho Ye Wook but the nation has been producing badminton couples since at least 1988, when former World Champions Kim Moon Soo and Yoo Sang Hee became the first of three in their era.

All of us at Badzine wish Kim Sa Rang and Eom Hye Won every happiness in their life together.
