Taufik Hidayat was not fielded for the final of the men’s team competition on Tuesday. After he showed a poor outing, losing to Tanongsak from Thailand in the semi-finals, Simon Santoso was sent as their first men’s singles against Liew Daren. Tommy Sugiarto was to play second men’s singles against Mohamad Arif Abdul Latif, and Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka as third against Chong Wei Feng.

The match saw Indonesia win over Malaysia 3-1, just like in 2009. Santoso, Sugiarto and Kido/Setiawan won for Indonesia while Ahsan/Septano were beaten by Lim/Goh.
