After two long battles against Hu Yun (saving 2 match points) and another 3 games against Japan’s Sakai, has retired from the event in Taiwan before playing his compatriot Wang Zhengming in the quarter-finals. Chong Wei Feng is the only hope for the rest of Asia as China secured 3 spots in the last quartet with Du Pengyu, Chen Long also advancing to the semi-finals together with Wang.
