The Malaysian fans can be reassured – Lee Chong Wei should be able to compete in the upcoming , after the latter had been skipping last training sessions because of an ankle injury. The injury had made the headlines of the local media before Misbun Sidek tempered the issue and explained that his protégé would just have to be careful in coming back to practise. Which he already did on Friday with a light workout.

“He will start with a light workout… and he will be monitored closely by the NSI (National Sports Institute),” Badminton Association of  Malaysia (BAM) general manager Kenny Goh, said in Friday’s edition of the Malaysian Star.
