For the first time in its History, France scooped the gold medal of the 8 Nations U15 tournament in Upssala, Sweden. The French had a good squad to start with and beat back to back Belgium (9/0), then Netherlands (9/0) then England (8/1) to secure the top spot in their group, ready to face Denmark, who had had little trouble to top their group. In the final, the French quickly led 4/1, then 5/2 to secure the final victory – the Danes then took the last two matches, but the victory had already gone to the team led by Christophe Jeanjean, a former French International.

This is the second time in a few days that Denmark bows to another nation in Europe – The Danes had lost their crown in the European Mixed team championships, and have now another conccurent in the younger generation. The 8 nations tournament for U15 is like a European Championships as the top 8 nations in Europe are competing every year.
