The Bangkok Post 15-year-old Thai badminton prodigy Ratchanok Intanon was voted Amateur Athlete of the Year by the Siam Sport Syndicate.  Last year, Ratchanok, at age 14, became the youngest ever winner of the BWF World Junior Championships.  She also reached the finals of two International Challenge events, winning one of these, and took the silver medal at the 25th South East Asian Games in Laos.
