The qualification stage for the upcoming Youth Olympic Games in Singapore was held this week-end in Denmark, with players from all over Europe – born in 1992 or 1993 – competiting for the only 5 direct singles spots, though no team had more than one competitor in each of the two events.  There was disappointment for Denmark who saw only one boys’ singles qualifier, Lene Clausen having lost a close one to Ukraine’s Yelyzaveta Zharka.
