It’s very likely that 30-year old Mia Audina will return to the professional circuit. After an absence of four years, Audina started to train with her old club Van Zundert Velo in the Netherlands. According to the team manager of her former team, Audina just started training again to get back into shape and his pupil not has yet decided if she will compete on a high level again.

On the other hand NOS, the Dutch public broadcasting station, claimed it’s a certainty that their compatriot will play again in the singles. The financial picture has been completed and only some practical matters have to be set.

Mia Audina was once the number two on the world ranking and won silver medals at the Olympics in Atlanta and Athens. A former Indonesian, she started to play for the Netherlands in the late ’90s and retired in her new home country with two European titles in 2004.
