Bad news for Malaysia’s Uber Cup squad: they may have to do without their 2nd and 3rd best singles players as Lydia Cheah and Julia Wong have both sustained injuries during training a few days ago and are still not practising, according to the New Straits Times, a local newspaper. This would be a big blow to their chances.  Although they hope to resume training in time for the home event, the BAM officials have stated that they will not be playing at 100%, no matter what. Malaysia is set to play against China and USA in the group matches.
