After their bad luck in the Continental Championships, where they had to cancel their participation as a team due to a lack of funding, the Nigerians are once again under a spell: they are experiencing some flight problems and are expected to land in Kuala Lumpur only three hours before their match against hosts Malaysia on Sunday. The BWF rules state that a team must arrive 48 hours before the competition, but Malaysians have allowed their opponents to show up at the last minute. Should they fail to arrive one hour before the tie, Malaysia will be declared winner with a 3-0 victory.
