The welcoming dinner of the Djarum was something not to be missed. Apart from the traditional dances, the food and the joy shared by the organizers to welcome the International Caravan, one surprise was awaiting for the numerous guests: to see Anastasia Russkikh, Ella Diehl, Eriko Hirose, Lee Hyo Jung and other top stars all dressed up in local Indonesian saris.

Things have been taken to a higher stage by the organizers, who have set their minds to offer an amazing show during the event, not only on court, but also off court, with a giant “badminton city” set up outside the stadium. The sari surprise was only a first taste of what will be seen for the second biggest tournament in the world in terms of Prize Money, next year, as the Indonesia Open will offer no less than US$600,000.

sari2Badmintonphoto is live in Indonesia and has captured some amazing off-court moments.
