Indians and Malaysians are set to share titles on Sunday for the finals of the YOnex India Gold which is taking place this week in Chennai. As most top players had skipped the event which was scheduled back to back with Singapore and Indonesian Opens to attract big stars, the top seeds from India and from Malaysia had smooth runs until now, entering the quarter final stages with ease.

Only Jayaram, 8th seed, failed and was beaten by Malaysia’s Chun Seang Tan and Hoon/Thien, third seeds in Men’s double lost to an Indonesian pair, but for the rest, logic prevailed and top seed Chetan Anand is looking at a potential final set up with Hafiz Hashim while Saina Nehwal should meet Wong Mew Choo on Sunday as well.
