The draws were released today for the 2010 Gold, to be held in Saarbruecken, Germany. Although the tournament kicks off just days after the World Championships end, many top European players – including Pi Hongyan, Boe/Mogensen, Dicky Palyama, and Julian Schenk – will be hopping across the borders to try their hand at this prestigious event, Europe’s only Gold tournament.

Meanwhile, the only sizable Asian contingent is from China, which is sending a few players from the Worlds, including Yu Yang, Wang Xiaoli, Zhao Yunlei and Pan/Tian, in addition to some talented players who didn’t make it, like Chen Long, Li Xuerui, and Liu Xin. Most of the other Asians, will head back to Asia, where many will make a showing at the China Masters in mid-September
