Tokyo, September 26th 2010 – China’s Tao Jiaming may rule the roost at the China Masters, winning the mixed title in Changzhou in consecutive years with two different partners, but today, his compatriots Zhao Yunlei and Zhang Nan had the upper hand, edging out Tao and new partner Tian Qing 21-19 22-20 to take their third title of the year.

“We played as well as we usually do,” said Tao after the match, “but we couldn’t get the advantage in the rallies.

“We started to train together as a pair just a few times before the China Masters so it is too short a time to get the confidence we’d need to win consistently.  But we have a little confidence because we won the  China Masters last week and reached the final in this Japan Open.  We will train harder and step by step we will become a top pair.”
