Donna Kellogg received one of England’s highest recognized – the MBE for services to badminton during an investiture hosted by the Queen of England at Windsor Castle. The English player had been notified she would get the honour last June but was presented with the this Tuesday. Almost six months to prepare for this life time achievement recognition’s ceremony, with the concerns on what to wear to meet the Queen:

“It was a bit traumatic and it did take a few trips into town… so I have something that I think is suitable… hopefully she’ll approve!” she mentioned to BBC Radio Derby before the event.

Kellogg spent 14 years as a professional player, twice winning European Gold in women’s doubles and competing in three Olympic Games.
