The annual tournament will soon be underway with its share of top stars from all over the world, including some new names that have never appeared before in this event, held traditionally between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Peter Gade will be the main favourite in the men’s singles but will have to battle hard against strong opponents including his long time friend Wong Choong Hann, who is almost at home in this event. The Malaysian will take on Hans-Kristian Vittinghus, who replaced injured Jan O Jorgensen.
